It’s easy to get started! You don’t need extensive work experience or specialized skills- if you’re an ECT student with at least one semester completed, you’re already eligible.

How it Works....

Chrissy Glaser (ALT) and Maaike Bouwmeester (ECT) can help you find or register for a 3-credit ECT Internship and guide you through CPT if needed.

We work directly with partner organizations across NYC and beyond to offer 3 credit internships. Through these connections, we can share your resume for high quality internship opportunities with added support from our ECT internship coordinators. ECT also shares non-exclusive internship listings for students who wish to find their own opportunities. You can apply to these directly following the posting instructions—these internships have their own application processes and are open to a broader audience beyond ECT students.

If you’d like to receive course credit or need to apply for CPT for an internship you find on your own, please contact Chrissy Glaser (chrissyglaser@nyu.edu). You may pursue these opportunities alongside applying through the ECT program if you wish.

Don't worry... our ALT Associate Director of Experiential Learning, Chrissy Glaser (chrissyglaser@nyu.edu) will help you find an internship and support you throughout your placement. All students are welcome and encouraged to take an ECT internship.

During your internship, you will be supported and meet reguarly with ECT faculty member, Maaike Bouwmeester (mb262@nyu.edu) and peers.
